How is a Cityspace change project different from others?
First and foremost the people; our project managers have not just worked
in consultancy, they have done what you do. Consequently they understand
the motivations and targets which you are trying to hit. There
is also a very good chance that they have worked in your industry, hence
the business requirement learning curve is short.
Our people also understand that in today’s environment competitiveness
relies on the effective interaction of good business practice with technology. Indeed,
volume processing is not possible without it. Hence they have to
be able to “speak the language” of the business and IT, to
provide good communication and deal with any bottlenecks.
They are also realists – if what you want is going
to be more painful than you imagined or, if you have chosen a route which
does not provide
the best solution, or is going to cost more, they will tell you at the
earliest opportunity.
