:: Space Planning ::

Cityspace Consult specialises in the process of office space planning.

The re-planning of existing space following a board or management decision needs to be carefully planned and implemented.

Our brief often commences before all the staff are aware of the management intentions. Our consultants are well versed in discrete surveys and will clear all communications about the work we are doing prior to entering the workplace. The reasons for change vary considerably but in all cases there is a need for our consultants to be confidential and diplomatic.

Whilst the physical production of space plans is relatively straightforward, the journey to final layouts may be one of debate and compromise.

Our services include:

Adapting Existing space

• Review of current space allocations and standards.

• Storage audits to decide upon best space allocation.

• Transformation of organisation’s office spac.

• Reviewing your organisation's existing layouts and suggesting ways that
  space may be create.

• Avoiding the expense of a move to new premises.

New Space

New space presents fewer issues than re–planning existing space. There are generally only a few ways to lay a building out to work efficiently. We generally recommend that we:

• Apply “your requirements brief” (see building evaluation section) to the new space.

• Provide a maximum density space plan in order that your know the growth
   potential of any space selected.

Determining Storage Requirements

As most companies grow they collect 'mountains' of paper! Nobody seems to have either the time or inclination to go through the information, as current work deadlines are always more pressing. However, at some point this starts to impact on the efficiency of the office team and something has to change.

By selecting independent advice in this area you can manage change in a factual and diplomatic way avoiding the office and territorial disputes:

At Cityspace consult we:

• Visit each work group, review personal storage and department storage.

• Review storage on floors around desks, desktops and shelves and
  in corridors or circulation space.

• Review organisation’s bulk supplies and storage areas.

We provide a report outlining:

• How each work group currently stores information.

• What changes could be made to reduce current capacity.

• Alternative methods of storag.

This storage report is relevant to people re-planning and moving offices
